Decision expands a long relationship with Intelliworx as the VA joins 38 other federal agencies who rely on FDonline to manage annual filings for 90,000 civil servants and political appointees
Sterling, VA – December 10, 2024 – Intelliworx, a provider of workflow and process automation software, announced today that the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA) has awarded the company a financial disclosure software solution contract. The software, which is better known as FDonline provides a simple and effective means for the VA to meet government ethics and compliance requirements for financial disclosure.
“Federal agencies manage significant budgets and history shows the temptation to influence procurement decisions that yield personal gain is always a potential risk,” said Intelliworx CEO Rob Hankey. “While the vast majority of federal employees are patriotic citizens dutifully carrying out the will of their nation, government ethics offices provide taxpayers with vital safeguards against the occasional human tendency to act in self-interest.”
With its decision to choose FDonline, the VA is joining 38 other federal agencies that have already implemented the technology. Collectively, Intelliworx supports more than 90,000 filers who have filed 450,000 disclosure forms over the last six years. Excluding the Department of Defense, Intelliworx facilitates roughly 60% of these filings across the federal government.
The number of federal employees required to file such disclosure forms can vary broadly. For example, the smallest agency using FDonline has just 17 civil servants required to file, while the largest has 16,200. During the selection process, Intelliworx provided a proof of concept (POC) for 150 filers at the VA. Based on that success, the software is now being rolled out to 13,000 VA employees who are required to disclose potential conflicts of interest annually.
FDonline provides ethics offices with a simple and secure way to collect, review and manage the entire business process of financial disclosure. This platform provides customizable features like automated alerts, a searchable database to proactively look for potential conflicts, and improved ethics counseling tools. Intelliworx also offers government customers an active financial disclosure user group led by a seasoned government ethics lawyer.
For individual filers, FDonline breaks complicated government forms (such as OGE-450, OGE-450A, OGE-278, OGE-278E, OGE-278T) into manageable steps with an easy interview wizard-style user experience (UX). It provides automated context-sensitive help to filers, and the data can be reused from year to year, which saves time because employees aren’t stuck retyping the same entries every year.
A long history of proven results delivering effective solutions
Financial disclosure is just one SaaS application Intelliworx has built on its platform. For example, Application Management is a separate product that has supported the VA’s Healthcare Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP). HPSP is crucial to recruiting the next generation of healthcare providers who deliver healthcare services to our nation’s veterans.
Intelliworx has a long track record of meeting the VA’s needs having supported HPSP with its cloud-based software for over five years. To date, Intelliworx has supported over 15,000 scholarship applications, along with the security and interoperability that supports the VA’s IT modernization objectives.
“The VA has a sacred mission in caring for our nation’s veterans,” Hankey added. “As a retired rotary wing pilot for the U.S. Army and a former civil servant, this award adds to the powerful sense of purpose at Intelliworx – helping the government agencies meet their mission requirements efficiently and effectively.”
