Intelliworx + FedRAMP

Intelliworx FedRAMP Authorization FAQ

What is FedRAMP, and why does it matter?

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is the U.S. government’s standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud services. It establishes a rigorous set of security requirements that cloud platforms must meet to process federal data.

For agencies, FedRAMP authorization reduces risk, accelerates procurement, and ensures sensitive data is handled in a secure and compliant environment. For vendors, it demonstrates a long-term commitment to security, transparency, and operational maturity.

Who This Page Is For

This page is for anyone evaluating Intelliworx from a security, compliance, or procurement perspective.

It is intended for federal IT and security stakeholders, program managers, and acquisition teams who need to understand Intelliworx’s FedRAMP authorization, as well as regulated organizations that require a high level of data protection and governance. It is also useful for partners and integrators supporting government or regulated clients.

The information below explains what FedRAMP authorization means, how Intelliworx meets those requirements, and what that means in practical terms for customers using the Intelliworx Platform.

Is Intelliworx FedRAMP Authorized?

Intelliworx is FedRAMP Authorized

Yes. The Intelliworx Platform is FedRAMP Authorized and operates within Amazon GovCloud (US).

This authorization allows federal agencies to use Intelliworx to securely collect, store, process, and manage sensitive and personally identifiable information (PII) in accordance with federal security requirements.

What level of FedRAMP authorization does Intelliworx have?

The Intelliworx Platform is authorized under FedRAMP Moderate, which is the a common authorization level for federal business systems that handle sensitive but unclassified data.

FedRAMP Moderate includes hundreds of required security controls based on NIST SP 800-53, covering areas such as access control, auditing, incident response, encryption, and continuous monitoring.

Who is Intelliworx’s FedRAMP sponsoring agency?

Intelliworx’s original agency sponsor was the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI).

Intelliworx began the FedRAMP authorization process in 2016, received its initial Authority to Operate (ATO) in 2018, and has maintained and expanded its authorization posture since then.

How many ATOs does the Intelliworx Platform support?

The Intelliworx Platform currently supports 40+ Authorities to Operate (ATOs) across federal agencies and programs.

This reflects the platform’s flexibility, security maturity, and ability to support multiple use cases without requiring separate infrastructure or reauthorization for each deployment.

What types of data can Intelliworx securely handle?

Intelliworx is designed to handle:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
  • Sensitive employee and citizen data
  • Compliance, ethics, and financial disclosure data
  • Application, credentialing, and workforce-related data

All data is protected through encryption, access controls, auditing, and continuous monitoring in alignment with FedRAMP and NIST requirements.

Where is Intelliworx hosted?

The Intelliworx Platform is hosted in Amazon GovCloud (US).

GovCloud is designed specifically to host sensitive government workloads and meets U.S. federal requirements for data residency, access restrictions, and security controls. All platform operations and data remain within U.S.-based infrastructure.

How does FedRAMP affect Intelliworx customers?

For federal customers, FedRAMP authorization:

  • Reduces procurement and security review timelines
  • Eliminates the need to independently assess cloud security controls
  • Provides confidence that the platform meets federal security standards

For non-federal customers in regulated industries, FedRAMP authorization demonstrates that Intelliworx operates at a higher security and governance standard than typical commercial SaaS platforms.

Is FedRAMP a one-time certification?

No. FedRAMP is an ongoing program.

To maintain authorization, Intelliworx:

  • Undergoes continuous monitoring
  • Submits regular security reports
  • Responds to findings and control updates
  • Maintains compliance with evolving federal requirements

This ensures the platform remains secure over time, not just at the point of initial authorization.

Does FedRAMP apply to Intelliworx solutions or the platform?

FedRAMP authorization applies to the Intelliworx Platform, not just individual applications.

This means solutions such as:

are built and deployed on a platform that already meets federal security requirements, reducing risk and accelerating deployment.

How does FedRAMP support Intelliworx’s process-first approach?

Security and compliance are built into the Intelliworx Platform from the start, not added after workflows are designed.

This allows Intelliworx to:

  • Efficiently redesign business processes without compromising security
  • Collect and reuse data safely across workflows
  • Provide full auditability and accountability
  • Support regulated environments with confidence

How can agencies or partners verify Intelliworx’s FedRAMP status?

Federal agencies can verify Intelliworx’s authorization through:

  • The FedRAMP Marketplace
  • Existing agency ATO documentation
  • Direct coordination with the Intelliworx team

Intelliworx can provide authorization details and supporting documentation upon request.
