A recent Intelliworx survey reveals that healthcare providers are increasingly frustrated by insurance companies that override medical decisions, with 74% reporting that insurers decline to cover prescribed treatments at least occasionally. Over a third say it happens frequently. Nearly half of respondents said the time and effort required to gain coverage is too demanding, and 20% expressed strong dissatisfaction with the process. While some providers feel supported by their employers, half believe more could be done to ease the burden of dealing with insurance demands. Alarmingly, nearly 4 in 10 have considered leaving the profession due to these mounting pressures.
